TORONTO ROCKS: ART & MUSIC COLLIDE AT THE LEGENDARY ELMOCAMBO

OCTOBER 14, Toronto, ON

The ElMocambo will ignite once again as Toronto Rocks brings together the city’s beating heart of art and music for one unforgettable night.

The show will feature over 30 engraved art portraits from August Knight’s Eternal Symbols series – burned into wood, these works immortalize Canadian legends like Neil Young, Gordon Lightfoot, and Joni Mitchell, alongside commemorative tributes to Dallas Good (The Sadies) and Nash the Slash.

A large selection also spotlights the lifers and torchbearers of Toronto’s music scene, including Greg Godovitz, Andrea Ramolo, and Cleave Anderson.

But Toronto Rocks is more than an art exhibit – it’s a collision of art, memory, and live performance. Taking the stage will be over 20 performers, each an inspiration to August Knight, in a Rolling Thunder Revue–style showcase that celebrates Toronto’s deep musical roots and thriving present. Expect an electric mix of established icons and rising voices, all united under one roof to honour the city’s enduring sound.

August Knight, the artist and songwriter behind the series, describes the project as “a love letter to the people and the music that made me – and made Toronto.” His portraits, carved with fire and passion, aren’t just images; they are symbols of resilience, creativity, and the stories that continue to shape Canadian culture.
