The Electric Revolution, EGO Redefines Classical Music
From a nation renowned for its profound guitar heritage comes a musical phenomenon that defies convention and electrifies the senses: The Electric Guitar Orchestra (EGO).
Born from meticulous research and a bold vision, EGO stands as a groundbreaking ensemble of master musicians dedicated to performing classical music exclusively on electric guitars. This unique concept shatters preconceived notions, creating a staggering and thrilling experience that bridges the often-separated worlds of classical and popular music.
EGO is not merely a collection of talented guitarists; it is the culmination of a precise artistic endeavor, showcasing the electric guitar’s often-unexplored capacity for depth, nuance, and orchestral grandeur. Imagine the intricate compositions of Bach, the dramatic flair of Vivaldi, the majestic narratives of Holst, or the passionate rhythms of Falla, all reimagined through the dynamic lens of a dozen electric guitars. The result is a soundscape that is both familiar and revolutionary, captivating audiences with a fresh perspective and incredible energy.
Behind of EGO’s innovative sound is its musical director and creator, Pablo Salinas. With over thirty years of professional experience, Salinas is a true polymath in the music world. As a composer, guitarist, pianist, organist, arranger, and producer, his multifaceted talent and broad-minded approach have always driven him towards diverse collaborations.

Salinas has shared stages and contributed to countless album recordings alongside an impressive roster of international stars. This extensive background in various genres and with legendary artists speaks volumes about his versatility and open approach to music-making, which is evidently infused into EGO’s daring concept.

From Roman Amphitheatres to International Stages: EGO’s Journey
The journey of this remarkable orchestra began with a stunning debut in 2011 at Mérida’s ancient Roman Amphitheatre, part of the Classical Theatre International Festival Opening Ceremony. The immediate, astonished reception confirmed the immense potential of what was then known as Sinfonity. Following a formal presentation in Madrid at the end of 2012, which garnered extraordinary public and critical acclaim, the project swiftly captured widespread attention from media both at home and abroad.
EGO’s online presence exploded, with their videos achieving over 15 million views – a truly unusual feat for contemporary classical music. Their national tour of Spain, beginning in 2013, saw them perform at major venues and prestigious events like the La Rioja’s “Actual Impar” Festival, Córdoba’s Guitar Festival, and Segovia’s International Festival.
Their growing reputation led to international invitations, gracing stages at the Tampere Guitar Festival, Uppsala Guitar Festival, Tallinn Guitar Festival, and performing in cities like Munich, Lisbon, Moscow, and Rotterdam. They even represented Spain at the Milan EXPO in 2015.
Notably, EGO performed a special Baroque music repertoire at the esteemed Leo Brouwer International Chamber Music Festival, becoming the surprise highlight of its 2015 edition. Their live performances consistently earn long-standing ovations from incredibly diverse audiences, a testament to the musicians’ masterful technique and unwavering commitment to musical excellence.
“Musical performances are superb, delicate, inspiring. Some romantic, some exotic. Every member of the orchestra plays in a different way replicating the music of a violin, a piano or a flute.”
— EL MUNDO, MADRID
The Electric Guitar Orchestra (EGO) stands as a testament to innovation in music. It’s an experience where the familiar beauty of classical masterpieces meets the raw power and versatility of the electric guitar, creating a truly unforgettable sound that continues to thrill audiences worldwide.
