With a rising tour schedule, a viral music video, and a story that spans continents, Afrobeats artist CHXXX is quickly emerging as one of Canada’s most electrifying new voices—bridging cultural identity and rhythm in real time.
Originally from Lagos, Nigeria and now based in Toronto, CHXXX recently dropped his upbeat album AFRONADIA, a bold 10-track diary that chronicles his immigration journey, creative evolution, and growing connection to the African diaspora in Canada. The project is sonically rich, blending traditional Afrobeats rhythms with percussive flare, soulful saxophone solos, and a modern Afro-fusion edge.
At the center of the buzz is the track “Carry N Go,” whose music video surged past 31,000 views in its first week. Equal parts joyful and defiant, the track is emblematic of the album’s themes: joy, and cross-cultural connection.
AFRONADIA doesn’t just celebrate Afrobeats, it expands it. Collaborations with African music icons like Stanley Enow,a MTV Africa Music Award winner, Simon Jefferson, a saxophonist known for genre-bending arrangements, and performances at events from Miss Teen Africa to Whose Vibe Block Party all showcase CHXXX’s commitment to global impact and local storytelling.
