Celebrating 37 Years of The Peterborough Folk Festival

Marking its 37th year, Canada’s longest-running free-admission folk festival is set to return from August 13–16, 2026, bringing four days of culture, connection, and diverse musical performances to downtown venues and the scenic Nicholls Oval Park.
A Tradition of Community and Culture
Since its inception, the festival has served as a cultural anchor for the region, welcoming thousands of attendees who share a passion for live performance. True to its roots, the weekend portion of the event remains entirely free to attend, ensuring that music and community spaces are accessible to everyone.
The festivities kick off on Thursday, August 13, at the Market Hall Performing Arts Centre. Opening night features PFF 2026 Emerging Artist Tristan Konkle setting the stage for a stellar headlining performance, offering an early glimpse into the talent that defines this year’s program.

As the festival shifts outdoors to Nicholls Oval Park for the weekend, the grounds transform into a vibrant community hub. Visitors can explore:
